Shopify ranks among the least AI-exposed businesses as Chegg lands alone at the bottom of Drew Cohen Capital’s 18-company list

Shopify, Palantir, and CrowdStrike carry the least AI disruption risk of 18 businesses, while Chegg is the only one AI has already broken, Drew Cohen argues in his newsletter, Five Minute Money. Cohen grades each business model from S down to F, and he puts Shopify in the top tier because merchants depend on it as infrastructure they’d struggle to replace. The middle of his list holds Amazon, Mercado Libre, Sea, Booking, and Airbnb, which he says depend on whether shoppers keep going straight to their apps once AI agents can search and buy for them. At the bottom are companies selling tasks a free chatbot can roughly do, including Chegg’s homework help, Credit Karma, and parts of Atlassian.
