Meta spent about $25.1 million protecting Mark Zuckerberg in 2025, roughly nine times what Anthropic spent on Dario Amodei. Meta’s bill covers about $8.5 million spent directly on security, plus a yearly $14 million budget for guarding Zuckerberg and his family and his private-aircraft travel. Anthropic’s IPO filing lists $2.75 million for Amodei and $1.29 million for his sister, president Daniela Amodei, and cites threats against its executives. Among other CEOs, Sundar Pichai cost Alphabet $8.8 million, Tesla paid roughly $4.8 million to a protection firm Elon Musk owns, which it says covers only part of his costs, and Jensen Huang cost Nvidia nearly $4 million. The share of S&P 500 companies paying for CEO security rose to 28.3% last year from 13.4% in 2021, according to ISS-Corporate.
