Vinted, the European second-hand marketplace, quietly entered Australia with no official announcement, going live with a working website and listings already up. Sellers list at no cost and ship using prepaid labels, while the platform’s fee falls on buyers instead. Vinted has also signed a three-year distribution deal with AusPost that opens the carrier’s parcel lockers and post offices to users nationwide. Beyond clothing, the Australian site carries homewares, electronics, entertainment products, collectibles, and sports gear, putting it head-to-head with eBay in the country’s recommerce market. The launch lands as AusPost data shows 46% of Australians now shop second-hand.
