eBay waives eBay Live commissions through October 29 for invited sellers, including ones who have access but haven’t streamed

eBay is waiving commissions through October 29 on qualifying US eBay Live sales for sellers it has invited to the promotion, according to Liz Morton at Value Added Resource. Live normally charges a 6% commission in most categories and 4% for coins, bullion, and eligible sneakers, plus 2.9% and $0.30 per order for payment processing, which still applies. A $100 sale in a 6% category therefore costs the seller $3.20 instead of $9.20. eBay opened self-service Live registration to US business sellers in September, and one invited seller told Morton they got access then but haven’t hosted a stream yet. eBay reports third-quarter earnings on October 28, a day before the promotion ends, but it has only ever disclosed Live’s growth rate, never its GMV.
