TikTok launches a brand safety center and points brands to counterfeit and IP protection tools for TikTok Shop listings

TikTok launched a brand safety center for advertisers at its APAC Responsible Media Forum in Singapore last week, gathering its guidance in one place alongside an AI Safety Essentials guide and a new Brand Protection Playbook. TikTok also pointed brands to its protection tools, including a Business Center feature that tracks how much people talk about a brand and whether the sentiment is positive or negative. On TikTok Shop, a program called TikTok Real lets brands check which sellers are authorized to carry their products, get alerted to suspicious listings, and have confirmed fakes taken down. Brands can also report copyright and trademark violations on TikTok Shop, which TikTok said can lead to removed listings and strikes against sellers.
