Meta is weighing a dollar and euro bond sale of at least $20 billion, which would be its first major debt deal since April and its first ever in euros, according to Bloomberg. Citigroup and Morgan Stanley are holding investor calls Monday and Tuesday, and the deal could grow with demand, but Meta hasn’t made a final decision. Buyers have demanded better terms on AI-related debt since Meta raised $25 billion in bonds in April, and on Monday Alphabet had to pay considerably higher yields than earlier this year to sell €6 billion of bonds. The bond sale would come a week after Meta sold $25 billion of common stock and $12.5 billion of preferred shares to pay for its AI buildout.
