Squarespace is laying off about 300 people, roughly 19% of its 1,800 employees, in a restructuring the company said will simplify its operations and let it move faster, according to The Verge. Departing employees will get 16 weeks of base salary, and their health coverage continues until May 2027. The cuts come about six weeks after Squarespace, which private equity firm Permira took private in 2024, committed another €70 million to its Dublin operations for research and product development.
