Southeast Asian fintechs raised $2.3 billion in the first nine months of 2026, triple the same stretch of 2025, but nearly all of it came from four rounds of $100 million or more, according to Tracxn. Ant International’s $1.2 billion Series A in July accounted for more than half the money on its own, and Indonesian investing app Ajaib added a $270 million Series C. Underneath those deals, the number of rounds fell from 75 to 42, and seed and angel funding dropped 46% to $53.3 million. Even the tripled total is less than half the $5.3 billion the region raised in that period of 2022. Exits got fewer but bigger, with acquisitions slipping to 12 from 14 and the average price jumping to $501 million, led by Grab’s $1.5 billion purchase of BNPL provider Atome.
