OpenAI hired Ismail Elmas as its vice president of sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, according to Bloomberg. Elmas, who works out of Munich, joined Cursor in April after more than 20 years at software and security companies including Rubrik and Zscaler, and moved to SpaceX when it bought Cursor for $60 billion in August. He’s the second Cursor sales executive OpenAI has taken from SpaceX in a month, after hiring Brian McCarthy as vice president of worldwide sales in September, as it pushes enterprise revenue ahead of a possible IPO.
