Google’s Gemini app passed 1 billion monthly users, up from the 950 million Google reported at Q2 earnings less than a month earlier. Google calls it the fastest-growing product it has ever launched, though ChatGPT crossed the same threshold back in May and was the first chatbot to get there. Google says 63% of Gemini users now talk to the assistant rather than type, and one in five Gemini Live sessions go past voice into live camera feeds or screen sharing. Gemini generates more than 150 million images a day, a figure Google ties partly to small businesses producing their own marketing material. On Android, Gemini automates actions inside more than 40 apps, including booking rides and reserving tables.
