Google rolls out AI shopping agents for Etsy and Wayfair users

Google rolled out agentic commerce features that allow U.S. shoppers to purchase items from Etsy and Wayfair directly within AI Mode in Search and the Gemini app. The company is utilizing its Universal Commerce Protocol to facilitate these transactions and is preparing to integrate Shopify, Target, and Walmart soon. This move is coming as competitors like Stripe and Visa are developing similar protocols for the emerging agentic economy.
