Google added two reporting features to its YouTube Video Reach and Video View campaigns, automatically folding Shorts Ad Actions like likes, shares, and comments into budget optimization for campaigns opted into Shorts. Advertisers can track each of those interactions through new individual reporting columns in Google Ad Manager for more granular insight into ad engagement. Google also made Attributed Branded Searches available globally, a metric that measures how many people exposed to an ad later searched for the promoted product across a 30-day window. The company said every additional branded search correlates with an average $31 sales increase, and that Shorts ads with over 10 seconds of watch time and one like drove 15% higher brand consideration.
