Amazon Business, the bulk and recurring ordering channel Amazon runs for companies, schools, and government agencies, reached a $60B annualized merchandise sales pace in the second quarter, up about 71% from 2023. More than 11M accounts now use the service, and 1.8M of those were opened since the start of 2026. Amazon launched Amazon Supply in 2012 and rebooted it as Amazon Business in 2015, growing early by converting personal and shared accounts with corporate discounts. Customers now include Nasdaq, UC San Diego, and Amazon’s own operations, drawn by bulk delivery and custom quoting. Amazon has never broken the unit out in its earnings reports or disclosed its margins, so the sales pace is the only number attached to a business it has spent 14 years building. AI additions include a chatbot and software that flags unusual purchases.
