Zepto, an Indian quick-commerce grocery-delivery company, is reportedly building a premium service called Select inside its app, offering gourmet and imported groceries through a separate tab, according to Moneycontrol. Select, set to roll out within weeks after a pilot drew a strong response, is still early-stage, with Zepto onboarding premium brands and weighing whether to price some imported items below rivals. Rivals are chasing the same shift, with Blinkit piloting a Gourmet service across Bengaluru, Delhi NCR, and Mumbai and Swiggy Instamart expanding a gourmet section, as platforms court wealthier shoppers to raise order values. Zepto is pursuing premium groceries to strengthen its top and bottom lines ahead of an IPO due later this year, having filed an updated prospectus with a fresh share issue worth ₹8,010 crore.
