The Wikimedia Foundation announced that Amazon, Meta, Microsoft, Mistral AI, and Perplexity joined its Enterprise program to access high-volume data APIs. These partnerships were formalized over the past year and disclosed to coincide with Wikipedia’s 25th anniversary. The commercial agreement allows these tech companies to integrate human-curated content into their AI models and platforms while financially supporting the nonprofit.
