TrueLayer, a European open banking payments network, appointed Stefano De Lollis as Head of Ecommerce, bringing in a fintech veteran who previously scaled Satispay’s ecommerce business from inception to a market-leading position and held commercial roles at Klarna’s Sofort Banking division in Italy. The hire comes as TrueLayer reports volumes nearly doubling year over year, with Pay by Bank now live at checkout for Amazon, eBay, Ryanair, and Just Eat across Europe. De Lollis will lead TrueLayer’s ecommerce strategy as merchants increasingly seek direct account-to-account payment alternatives to card networks in order to reduce interchange fees and fraud.
