LianLian Global partners with PayPal so social commerce platforms and marketplaces can pay creators straight to PayPal and Venmo

LianLian Global, the cross-border payments arm of Hangzhou-based Lianlian DigiTech, partnered with PayPal so the social commerce platforms, marketplaces, and online sellers it serves can pay creators, influencers, and contractors directly into PayPal accounts in 96 markets or Venmo accounts in the US. Platforms only need a recipient’s email address or phone number rather than bank details, and they can send bulk payouts to large groups of sellers, creators, and affiliates at once. LianLian handles collection, currency exchange, and compliance for its clients, and the deal connects that to a PayPal network of more than 400 million active accounts, many of which already belong to the creators and contractors those platforms pay.
