Strategy sold 1,638 Bitcoin for $104.7 million in the week to August 2, according to an 8-K filed Monday. The coins went for an average of $63,957 after fees, or $11,462 less than the $75,419 a coin Strategy paid on average across the 842,138 it still holds. Roughly half the money went to preferred stock dividends and half into repurchasing STRC shares, a buyback that totaled $81.2 million once common stock sales were added in. That is the second draw on a $1 billion repurchase program Strategy set up June 29, which now has $893.8 million left. Strategy hasn't added any Bitcoin since June and has instead been selling MSTR shares to build a dollar reserve, which hit $4 billion last week against yearly dividend obligations of $1.76 billion.
