Stord acquired AMS Fulfillment for a nine-figure sum, adding 10 warehouses in the Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, and Philadelphia areas along with the over 150 beauty, wellness, and DTC brands whose orders AMS ships. The deal is the largest of Stord’s 11 acquisitions and pushes its network past 100 owned and partner sites, following its deal for Ceva Logistics’ Shipwire unit this January and UPS’s Ware2Go last year. Some AMS warehouses already use automated sorting systems, which Stord plans to build on for its robotics and AI work. Stord says it handles more than $15 billion in GMV a year for over 1,000 brands, and it has lined up $650 million across equity and credit this year, including a $250 million round in May at a $3 billion valuation.
