Saturday Night Live parodied Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei on Weekend Update, with cast member Jane Wickline playing him in a wig as a halting executive who kept breaking into arguments with his own dark side. Host Michael Che set up the bit by saying Amodei had “stumbled through a press tour” in which he appeared to agree with a researcher who quit Anthropic warning that AI could wipe out humanity. Wickline’s Amodei told viewers that AI executives “do not condone what we are doing,” then pitched the benefits by giving cancer roughly a 10% chance of being solved within a decade.
