Redo acquires Relay Goods, which refurbishes and resells returned footwear, to help its merchants turn returns into revenue

Redo, a commerce platform for returns, order tracking, fulfillment, and AI marketing, acquired Relay Goods, a certified pre-owned online marketplace that sells discounted, brand-name running shoes, for undisclosed terms. Redo started out handling returns and exchanges for online stores and now also sells order tracking, package protection, customer service and marketing tools to more than 4,100 brands. Relay buys pairs from brands and authorized retailers that customers sent back because they didn’t fit, along with excess stock, then cleans and inspects the shoes and resells them with a warranty. Redo says putting Relay’s resale operation in front of its merchants will help more brands make money from returns and leftover inventory.
