Google published a holiday When to Buy Guide that tells shoppers when to expect the best deals in categories like fragrance, handbags, luggage and toys, based on last year’s Search activity and US merchants’ markdowns. Large suitcases, handbags and motorized tech toys see deeper discounts in late December than on Black Friday, while travel accessories like packing cubes are cheapest in November. For handbags, Google recommends shopping in mid-December, since prices drop further later in the month but less selection is left by then.
