TikTok reverses its ad ban on the “Musk” documentary two days later, calling the suspension of Bleecker Street’s account an error

TikTok restored the ad account Bleecker Street uses to promote Alex Gibney’s documentary “Musk” on Sunday, two days after suspending it, and told the distributor the ban was an error, according to The Hollywood Reporter. A TikTok spokesperson said the account can buy ads again as long as they follow the company’s political advertising rules, which TikTok had cited when it rejected the film’s trailer and other paid spots. TikTok is the third platform to back down over the film, after Meta called its own ad rejections an error and YouTube cleared the ads following a review.
