Mercari is making shipping free on orders of $50 and up from October 22 through January 4, according to Liz Morton at Value Added Resource. The deal covers single items sent with Mercari’s Best Rate prepaid label and bundles from one seller on any carrier, as long as the package weighs 5 lbs or less. Mercari’s earlier shipping promos targeted cheap collectibles like trading cards, but this one rewards bigger orders, which executives said in August they want to grow by getting buyers to bundle low-priced items and split the shipping cost. Mercari’s Fashion Exchange is coming back too, letting buyers swap clothing, shoes, and bags that don’t fit or smell bad for Mercari credit while sellers still get paid in full.
