Phia raises $35M to build AI shopping agent

Phia, an AI shopping startup founded by Phoebe Gates and Sophia Kianni, raised $35 million in a funding round led by Notable Capital with participation from Khosla Ventures and Kleiner Perkins. The company plans to utilize the capital to recruit machine learning engineers and evolve its browser extension into a “holistic shopping agent” that personalizes product recommendations. The 10-month-old startup reports 11x revenue growth and has onboarded 6,200 retail partners since its launch.
