OpenAI signed a set of deals in Abu Dhabi on Monday covering energy, government, and investment, without disclosing any financial terms. The main one is a multiyear agreement with ADNOC and G42 to roll out OpenAI Frontier, its platform for coordinating AI agents, across the state oil company’s operations, running on computing infrastructure inside the UAE. Abu Dhabi’s government is also piloting a project that rewrites its rules in a form AI can read, so the system can help officials review permit applications, starting with food imports, while people still make the final decisions. OpenAI also agreed to work with sovereign fund Mubadala and G42 unit Inception42 on using AI to find and assess investments.
