OpenAI is preparing to expand its advertising pilot into France, Germany, Ireland, and Singapore, based on new job listings for regional ad teams, according to Digiday. Additions of the four markets would bring the ad program to 10 globally, less than three weeks after OpenAI launched the pilot in the U.K. OpenAI started the pilot in the U.S. in February, then added Canada, Australia, and New Zealand in March and the U.K., Japan, South Korea, Mexico, and Brazil in June. Advertisers across every launched market still buy only test budgets, even as the U.K., France, and Germany rollout gives OpenAI a foothold in Europe’s three biggest digital ad markets, which drew 62% of the region’s ad revenue last year in IAB Europe’s benchmark.
