OpenAI launched Intelligent UI, a ChatGPT interface that builds visuals into its answers, many of them interactive, such as buttons to tap, calculators made for one task, and charts and graphs users can edit. In a demo, ChatGPT drew diagrams showing how an airplane wing produces lift, and OpenAI’s other examples included recipe visuals, a map for a hiking trip several days long and a personal savings calculator. Intelligent UI came out Wednesday alongside a new GPT-6 model for Pro, Plus, Business and Enterprise subscribers worldwide and reaches the free and Go tiers Thursday, with a setting that lets anyone cut back on the visuals.
