OpenAI announced partnerships with consulting firms including Accenture, Capgemini, and PricewaterhouseCoopers to help sell its Codex AI coding tool to enterprise customers, with the consulting partners gaining access to Codex as part of the program and helping businesses expand its use beyond software development into knowledge work areas like marketing, finance, and sales. The company also reported that Codex has reached 4 million weekly active users, up from 3 million just two weeks ago and 2 million last month, reflecting rapid growth as OpenAI refocuses on coding and enterprise after cutting back on what it called “side quests.” OpenAI also hired Colleen Kapase, formerly of Google Cloud, as its new VP of global partnerships and ecosystem to oversee the Codex consulting partner program.
