OnlyFans is building toward what CEO Keily Blair called a Shopify for content, pushing past subscriptions into streaming, tools for creators, and financial services aimed at people whose income arrives in irregular chunks from several platforms at once, according to Anna-Louise Jackson at Fast Company. Blair made the comparison at the Fast Company Innovation Festival, where she also put lifetime payouts past $30 billion to creators across the last decade, across 5 million creators and upward of 430 million fan accounts. She described a roster that now runs to comedians, athletes, celebrities, chefs, business experts, and researchers, well beyond the adult content the platform is known for. One of those research accounts is OnlyMarms, opened this spring by a UCLA lab after the National Science Foundation declined to keep funding its 64-year yellow-bellied marmot study.
