Nearly 40 Google and OpenAI employees filed an amicus brief to support Anthropic in a lawsuit against the Department of Defense. The employees argue that current AI systems remain too unreliable to power fully autonomous weapons and that the government designation violates free speech rights. Anthropic sued the military in a California federal court on Monday in response to the official supply chain risk label.
