MoonPay, a crypto payments company, launched in ChatGPT's App Store, with the company calling itself “the first and only crypto onramp integrated in ChatGPT” in a Friday post on X. The integration lets ChatGPT users search “MoonPay” in Apps, connect, and buy any of more than 100 supported assets including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and USDC across more than 30 chains, with the app filling in the asset, chain, and amount based on a plain-language request before users confirm the purchase at moonpay.com checkout using a card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or bank transfer. The launch follows OpenAI opening its ChatGPT App Directory in December 2025 as a marketplace of third-party apps that run directly within the ChatGPT interface, and comes shortly after MoonPay's May 14 launch of MoonPay Headless Onramps, a native crypto checkout platform enabling one-tap purchases across the U.S., EEA, and more than 100 other countries.
