Meta’s Muse agent was set up by over 10 million people across the US and Canada in its first six weeks, and about a quarter of them use it daily, CEO Mark Zuckerberg said on the third-quarter earnings call. Shopping is the agent’s most popular use, with over 25% of users buying through it at an average order above $200, and Zuckerberg said purchase volume in the first week ran so far past expectations that Stripe raised its credit limits. Muse is expensive to run, so Meta has held off on a global rollout and plans to start charging for it sooner than it usually would with a new product. Zuckerberg said the company needs compute efficiency to improve more than tenfold over the next year for Muse’s economics to work at scale.
