Meta’s head of public policy in India, Shivnath Thukral, is leaving the company after more than seven years, just months after Meta secured regulatory relief over WhatsApp’s data-sharing policy. His departure comes as Meta faces new hurdles with upcoming data privacy rules and ongoing criticism from telcos and regulators in India, its largest user market.
