Meta Superintelligence Labs director Rohit Patel quits to launch Ndoc, an AI-first rival to Microsoft Office and Google Workspace

Meta Superintelligence Labs director Rohit Patel left Meta after eight years to start Ndoc, an AI-first replacement for Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, according to TechCrunch. Ndoc puts slides or dashboards, the written analysis behind them, and the raw data and Python code that produced them in one place, so users can ask the AI to explain a script and check how any figure was calculated. Patel plans to open-source Ndoc’s file format, a single file that opens in any browser, and said that getting an open format approved at Meta would have meant input from hundreds of people. The three-person startup has no funding and is opening an alpha to customers on its waitlist, who pay for usage, with a beta expected in the coming weeks.
