Klarna launches peer-to-peer payments in 13 European countries

Klarna introduced an instant peer-to-peer payment feature in its app across 13 European markets, including the U.K., Germany, and Sweden. This expansion allows users to send money to contacts directly, furthering the company's shift toward becoming a comprehensive digital bank following the successful rollout of its Balance accounts and debit card. While initial transfers are limited to domestic Klarna users, the company plans to add cross-border functionality and support for non-users, while also exploring stablecoin integration for future efficiency.
