AI shopping agents recommended Brooks in 67% of answers to 40 questions about running shoes priced below $150, according to a test by Recommended by Agents, an agency that sells AI-agent readiness services to online stores. Across the 200 answers from ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, and Meta’s Muse, just seven brands accounted for 83% of the picks, and each answer named about four. Below those leaders the agents often disagreed, with Gemini recommending HOKA 65% of the time against 13% for ChatGPT, and Puma appearing in 35% of ChatGPT’s answers but none of Perplexity’s. The firm asked each question only once per agent through the APIs, so it says small gaps between brands are noise.
