Just Eat paused a trial that generated menu photos with AI for UK restaurants that hadn’t uploaded their own, after the images came out horribly wrong. For example, one Northern Ireland restaurant’s soda bread breakfast sandwiches were shown as sausage, bacon, and fried eggs floating in glasses of soda, and salt and pepper chips showed up without the onions, chilli, and peppers that define the dish. Just Eat apologized and said it’s pulling the inaccurate photos and won’t resume the rollout until the tool improves.
