Instagram bans harassment videos filmed on Meta glasses and removes two pickup artist accounts with over a million followers

Instagram will pull down videos in which someone uses Meta glasses to harass strangers, Adam Mosseri said in a reply on his Instagram stories, singling out the pickup-line genre where men film themselves approaching women who have no idea a camera is running. Two such accounts, each past a million followers, have already been deactivated, and Meta told Business Insider the removals came under that policy. Meta would not say how it decides what crosses the line or how enforcement works. The same glasses also fuel prank videos aimed at cashiers and fast-food workers, one of which involved fart spray hidden in a Walmart candle. Business Insider ties the cleanup partly to a nickname gathering traction online, where people have taken to calling the product pervert glasses.
