Grubhub owner Wonder confidentially files for an IPO on the same day Amazon drops Grubhub from Prime in favor of Uber Eats

Wonder, the food hall and delivery company founded by Marc Lore, confidentially submitted a draft S-1 to the SEC for an IPO but hasn’t set a share count or price range. Wonder last raised a $650 million Series D in July at a $9 billion pre-money valuation, which it said would fund new restaurants, its marketplace, and investments in robotics and AI. Wonder’s biggest acquisition was Grubhub for $650 million, and it has also bought Blue Apron for $103 million, Sweetgreen’s Infinite Kitchen robotics business for $186 million, and New York barbecue chain Mighty Quinn’s. The IPO filing came the same day Grubhub lost its deal with Amazon, which gave Prime members a free Grubhub+ membership until Amazon moved its restaurant delivery perk to Uber Eats.
