Google is testing a button within its AI Overview in Search that sends users straight to the web-only results tab, which strips out AI search features and other verticals to show plain web links. The feature was spotted by Sachin Patel, who posted screenshots showing an AI Overview with a button that, when clicked, drops the user into the web tab. It's a notable move given Google has spent the past year pushing AI Overviews and AI Mode to the front of the search experience, so building an escape hatch back to traditional links cuts against that direction.
