Google made Live Avatar, a feature of its Gemini 3.8 Live model that gives businesses a video avatar able to hold real-time conversations with customers, generally available on its Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform. Companies can pick from Google’s library of stock avatars or build their own, though custom avatars require enterprise verification, and every clip Live Avatar generates carries a SynthID watermark. The avatars lip-sync in 97 languages, can watch a live camera or a shared screen, and can call a company’s CRM or ERP systems in the background without breaking off the conversation. Cox Automotive is using it for an AI shopping assistant on Autotrader, and Salesforce has built it into Agentforce.
