Best Buy starts selling Amazon Fire TV ads on Insignia TVs and extends its shopper targeting to Roku and LG streaming screens

Best Buy will sell ad inventory on Amazon’s Fire TV, covering every current and future Insignia TV, the house brand that runs on Fire TV’s operating system. Brands buy those slots, including home screen placements, through Amazon’s DSP and use Best Buy’s shopper data to target and measure them. Best Buy offers the same targeting on Roku under a renewed deal and on LG TVs through Magnite. Chief ads and media officer Lisa Valentino said Best Buy’s advertiser count has doubled YoY and more of their money now comes from national video and social budgets, so Best Buy is pushing brands to commit year-long spend the way TV upfronts work.
