Google launched Playground, an experimental Google Labs platform where US users 18 and older build browser games by typing what they want instead of writing code. Creators start from a blank slate or a starter prompt, play the result right away, and keep asking for changes to the rules, physics, characters, or setting. Finished games can stay private, go out by link, or land in a public gallery that ranks them by ratings and play activity once they pass Google’s safety screening. How much someone can build depends on their Google AI subscription tier. Google also plans to add Unity Spark, Unity’s AI game tool, to support 3D games with more advanced mechanics.
