Google settled its worldwide legal disputes with Epic Games by reducing Play Store revenue shares and permitting alternative payment methods. The company separated its cost structure to charge publishers in the U.S., U.K. and EEA a 5% billing fee alongside a reduced 20% service fee for new app installs. The agreement also introduced a Registered App Stores program to facilitate sideloading and allowed Fortnite to return to the Android marketplace globally.
