OpenAI’s agent orchestration platform runs at twice as many companies as Anthropic’s, which leads slightly on shortlists

OpenAI’s agent orchestration platform leads Anthropic’s by about two to one, with 43% of the 107 companies that run one using OpenAI’s, 22% using Anthropic’s, and 21% using Google’s, according to a September VentureBeat Intelligence survey. Among companies planning to add or replace a platform within a year, Anthropic’s came up slightly more often, named by 33% of the 61 respondents against 30% for OpenAI’s, but only 20 companies made up that Anthropic group. The results differ from Ramp’s spending data, which showed more businesses on its platform paying Anthropic than OpenAI in September. Ramp counts every business once and skews toward smaller, tech-forward companies, while VentureBeat surveyed opt-in respondents at organizations with at least 100 employees.
