The FTC sued Hims & Hers in California federal court, alleging the telehealth firm ran tracking pixels from Meta, Snap, Microsoft, Pinterest, Reddit, and X that captured and shared customers' health data against its own privacy policy. Hims & Hers sells prescriptions for weight loss, mental health, and sexual wellness, so the data revealed what people were seeking treatment for. The complaint adds counts for deceptive billing and hard-to-cancel policies under federal consumer protection law. Hims & Hers stopped short of denying the allegations, saying its policy tells users they can choose how their data gets used, and that it will fight.
