Former UK prime minister Rishi Sunak made over £2.2 million from his senior adviser roles at Anthropic, Microsoft, and Goldman Sachs, all of which he gives to charity, according to the register of financial interests he has to file as a sitting member of Parliament, which was updated Monday. Goldman pays him nearly £1.1 million a year and Microsoft about £742,000, while Anthropic paid him in shares valued at £373,000 at the start of his one-year contract last October. Using the hours listed for each role, Business Insider calculated that Microsoft pays him roughly $10,200 an hour, compared with about $8,300 at Goldman and $7,000 at Anthropic.
