Former eBay Motors senior manager Anson Tse sued eBay in federal court, alleging it retaliated against him for reporting a seller getting special treatment and later for warning that WHI Solutions, an auto parts catalog company eBay acquired in 2012, was underperforming, according to Liz Morton at Value Added Resource. Tse says an eBay Motors executive brought in a consultant who also ran an eBay parts store, which got fee waivers and special pricing until eBay fired both men in 2012. He says eBay then changed how WHI’s results were measured and downgraded his review before laying him off in 2015. Tse went to court after the Labor Department rejected his Sarbanes-Oxley claim, though Morton notes his filing came after its final ruling, which may undercut his route to federal court.
