Flipkart, India’s largest e-commerce platform and a Walmart subsidiary, is pushing deeper into payments and financial services to find new revenue and tighter margins ahead of a potential IPO by next year or later. Payments VP Gaurav Arora called the area one of the company’s top growth levers, noting that every one-percentage-point gain in payment completion rates translates directly into equivalent top-line growth, and said Flipkart is extending its SuperCoins loyalty program beyond its own platforms into categories like ride-hailing and aviation. The push comes as Flipkart’s marketplace arm grew FY25 revenue 14% to ₹20,493 crore while narrowing net losses 37%, and as India’s e-commerce market is projected to nearly triple to between $174B and $214B by fiscal 2030, per ICICI Securities.
